Joseph La Frombois Student File

Student file of Joseph La Frombois, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on August 22, 1897, and departed on March 14, 1900.  The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that La Frombois was serving in the Navy in 1910.

In school documentation Joseph La Frombois' name is also spelled Joseph La Frambois.

 

William Gardner Student File

Student file of William Gardner, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 4, 1904 and ultimately departed on June 21, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, newspaper clippings, a photograph, and a report after leaving indicating that Gardner was on the football team while at school, received a diploma from the Dickinson School of Law, and was a Captain in Co. H of the 338 Infantry in the United States Army stationed at Camp Custer, Michigan in 1917.

Frank Keshena Student File

Student file of Frank Keshena, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on August 22, 1897 and ultimately departed on September 28, 1906. The file contains student information cards, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving indicating that Keshena was working as a laborer in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1910.

 

Abram Katchenago Student File

Student file of Abram Katchenago, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on August 24, 1905 and departed on June 28, 1906. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Katchenago was working as a laborer in Breed, Wisconsin in 1910.

In school documentation Abram Katchenago's name is also spelled Abram Katchango, Abram Katchanago, and Abram Katchanogo. He is also known as Abraham Katchenago.

 

Henry Lawe Student File

Student file of Henry Lawe, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on November 13, 1904, and departed on July 6, 1908. The file contains a student information card, a news clipping, a returned student survey, position cards, a progress card, and a report after leaving indicating that Lawe was working as a mill hand in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1911.

 

Rosetta Pierce (Da-ga-nade-yohse) Student File

Student file of Rosetta Pierce, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 23, 1903, and ultimately departed on April 18, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, outing records, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, newspaper clippings, outing evaluations, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Pierce was married to Thomas Owl at the home of Superintendent Moses Friedman and was living in Birdtown, North Carolina in 1912.

Augustus Grignon Student File

Student file of Augustus Grignon, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1880, and departed on June 17, 1884.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Grignon was working as a carpenter in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1911.

In school documentation Augustus Grignon is also known as Augustus C. Grignon and Guss C. Grignon.

Note: Grignon married former student Mary Lamotte and his daughter, Margaret Grignon later enrolled.
