Rosetta Pierce (Da-ga-nade-yohse) Student File

Student file of Rosetta Pierce, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 23, 1903, and ultimately departed on April 18, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, outing records, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, newspaper clippings, outing evaluations, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Pierce was married to Thomas Owl at the home of Superintendent Moses Friedman and was living in Birdtown, North Carolina in 1912.

Augustus Grignon Student File

Student file of Augustus Grignon, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on November 6, 1880, and departed on June 17, 1884.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Grignon was working as a carpenter in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1911.

In school documentation Augustus Grignon is also known as Augustus C. Grignon and Guss C. Grignon.

Note: Grignon married former student Mary Lamotte and his daughter, Margaret Grignon later enrolled.

 

James Fisher Student File

Student file of James Fisher, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 1, 1894 and ultimately departed on June 28, 1900. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that Fisher was a tailor and farming in Caro, Michigan in 1910.

 

Austin Fisher Student File

Student file of Austin Fisher, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1903, and departed on June 24, 1908. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving indicating that, from 1910 to 1914, Fisher was working as a laborer in Caro, Michigan.

 

Rea Funk Student File

Student file of Rea Funk, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 5, 1896 and departed on June 29, 1900. The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Funk worked as a stenographer in Great Falls, Montana in 1911 and 1913.

In school documentation Rea Funk is also known as E. Rea Funk.

 

William Ferguson Student File

Student file of William Ferguson, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 13, 1895, and departed on October 15, 1895.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1911, Ferguson was working as a laborer in Startup, Wisconsin.

William A. Fairbanks Student File

Student file of William A. Fairbanks, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 27, 1892, and departed on September 21, 1892.  The file contains a student information card, a position card, a newspaper clipping, a returned student survey, a former student response postcard, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that, from 1910 to 1913, Fairbanks was working as a merchant in Minnesota.
