Alfred Peter De Marr Student File

Student file of Louis F. Bear, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on May 16, 1901, and ultimately departing on September 16, 1906. The file contains student information cards, a news clipping, an application for enrollment, and a report after leaving indicating that Bear was working as an engineer in Keshena, Wisconsin in 1910.

In school documentation Louis F. Bear is also known as Louis Bear.

Note: The file of fellow student Adaline Kinglsey indicates she married a Louis Bear. It seems likely she married this student, Louis F. Bear.

 

John L. Covert Student File

Student file of John L. Covert, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 5, 1894 and departed on March 31, 1897. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that Covert was living in Pinconning, Michigan, in 1910.

William Couture Student File

Student file of William Couture, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 5, 1894 and ultimately departed on December 12, 1903. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards and a report after leaving indicating that Couture was working as a laborer in Duluth, Minnesota in 1910.

In school documentation William Couture's name is also spelled William Coture, William Coulture, and Willie Couture.

 

George Henry Thompson Student File

Student file of George Henry Thompson, a member of the Mashpee Nation, who entered the school on October 8, 1904, and departed on June 23, 1909.  The file contains a student information card, newspaper clippings, a progress card, a physical card, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that Thompson was working as a laborer in Falmouth, Massachusetts in 1911.

In school documentation George Henry Thompson is also known as George H. Thompson and George Thomas.

 

Allen Connelly Student File

Student file of Allen Connelly, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 19, 1894, and departed on November 16, 1896.  The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1910, Connelly was working as a laborer in Leaton, Michigan.

 

John F. Susep Student File

Student file of John F. Susep, a member of the Penobscot Nation, who entered the school August 27, 1902 and departed September 15, 1904. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, a returned student survey, former student response postcards, and a report after leaving that indicated Susep was a pyrography artist (wood burning) in Old Town, Maine in 1913.

In school documentation John F. Susep is also known as J. F. Susep, John Susep, and John Francis Susep.

 

Solomon Collins Student File

Student file of Solomon Collins, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on August 8, 1889 and ultimately departed on June 21, 1894. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, correspondence, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Collins was investigating land frauds on reservation in Rosebush, Michigan from 1910 to 1914.
