John Greensky (Sharwahnezbig) Student File

Student file of John Greensky, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1903, and departed on July 1, 1908. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1911, Greensky was working as a laborer in Chicago, Illinois.  The file also contains correspondence between Greensky and Nellie Robertson Denny indicating that Greensky was looking for work with the Ford Motor Company.

In school documentation John Greensky's name is also spelled John Greenskye. He is also known as Sharwahnezbig.

Miles Gordon (Ta-bog-an) Student File

Student file of Miles Gordon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on February 5, 1891, and departed on July 4, 1893.  The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, correspondence, a position card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Gordon was working as a laborer in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1913.

In school documentation Miles Gordon is also known as Ta-bog-an.

 

James Loughery Student File

Student file of James Loughery, a member of the Menominee Nation, who entered the school on August 22, 1897, and departed on June 24, 1904.  The file contains a student information card, correspondence, and a returned student survey indicating that Laughery was working at a saw mill in Neopit, Wisconsin in 1912.

In school documentation James Loughery's name is also spelled James Loughrey and James C. Loughery.

 

Joseph Gordon (Pe-ne) Student File

Student file of Joseph Gordon, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on February 5, 1891, and departed on July 4, 1893.  The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that in 1910 Gordon was serving as a laborer in Hayward, Wisconsin.

In school documentation Joseph Gordon is also known as Pe-ne.

 

Joe Gooselaw Student File

Student file of Joe Gooselaw, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on April 14, 1906 and ultimately departed on June 23, 1906. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Gooselaw was farming in Saint Vincent, Minnesota in 1911.
