Rosetta Pierce (Da-ga-nade-yohse) Student File

Student file of Rosetta Pierce (Da-ga-nade-yohse), a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 23, 1903, and ultimately departed on May 18, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, student outing records, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, newspaper clippings, outing evaluations, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Pierce was married to Thomas Owl at the home of Superintendent Moses Friedman and was living in Birdtown, North Carolina in 1912.

Note: in this file the student is identified as Rosetta Pierce and Rose Pierce.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U. S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Abram Colonohaski. That document has now been included with the Abram Colonohaski file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 55_folder 2739.
