Captain William Mercer informs the Commissioner of Indian Affairs that he used authority 91142 to make payments to several irregular employees mentioned in the October 1904 report. 

Minnie L. Ferree requests a meeting at the Indian Service to discuss a possible transfer through William A. Mercer. Mercer provides additional information on Ferree's request.

William A. Mercer requests authority to employ a steam fitter to make repairs to the steam heating plant along with completing the work at the double cottage being constructed.

Carrie E. Weekley submits her resignation as the Girls' Matron of the Carlisle Indian School. William A. Mercer provides information about Weekley as well as requesting a promotion of Frances A. Veitch to fill the vacancy.

William A. Mercer requests authority to establish a horticulture department at the Carlisle Indian School. As a result he requests to purchase materials to build a greenhouse and establish a position of horticulturist.

Richard Henry Pratt compiles a report with remarks regarding employees' efficiency, conduct, behavior, dress, health, attitude towards children, and notes on any special skills. The report also lists employees' salaries and position titles. 

Richard Henry Pratt informs Fannie Peter that he and Mrs. Pratt are leaving for Denver, Colorado following his departure from the Carlisle Indian School. Pratt notes that he remained in Central Pennsylvania for six months in order to address any criticisms.

Edward Marsden responds to the Office of Indian Affairs regarding the return of Alaskan students from Carlisle.

Apparently in response to a request to recommend former students for a position as assistant disciplinarian at the Phoenix school, William A. Mercer informs the Office of Indian Affairs that Hastings Robertson is enrolled in law school and instead recommends two former students, Joseph Blackbear and James King. 

William A. Mercer responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding the request of Laura Taylor to be reinstated to the Indian Service as an assistant seamstress.

W. A. Mercer forwards a report on leave of absence taken by M. Burgess (superintendent of printing). 

William A. Mercer responds to an Office of Indian Affairs regarding the vacancy in the Superintendent of Printing position. Mercer notes that he is willing to increase the salary if the Office is only able to secure an appointment through the higher salary.

William A. Mercer informs the Office of Indian Affairs that he has no recommendation for the replacement of Oliver Harlan as the Assistant Farmer at the Carlisle Indian School. Mercer requests the Office make an appointment.
