Note: Previous cataloging interprets the handwritten caption as reading: "Dexter Loco, Mabel and Rachel." Based on this information, we believe the two women to be Mabel Kelcusay (who arrived on the same day as Dexter Loco), and Rachel Checote. Comparison with other photographs confirms the identify of Rachel, however the identification of Mabel based on the photographs is less sure. 

Note: A researcher identfied the sitters as Dexter Loco, Rachel Tsikahda Morgan (left) and Mabel Navadokieh Jozhe (right), and that they were all Chiricahua Apache.

This image is dated July 14, 1884. 

Very large group of male and female students posed in rows on the grounds of the school. The caption identifies them as: Carlisle Indian School in 1884 Number of students 375. 

The Cumberland County Historical Society has two copies of this image: PA-CH2-001 and 10-B-19.

Photo taken of visiting Cheyenne and Arapahoe Chiefs with Carlisle students and government employees at Devil's Den at the Gettysburg battlefield. The image is dated November 28, 1884.

One person is identified only as "Kise." It is not known if this is Kias Red Wolf (as known as Kise) or Kise Williams. 

Studio portrait of a group of visiting chiefs, including Left Hand (with his wife) and Powder Face. Left Hand and his wife are in the back row in the center and at right. Powder Face is in front row at far right. A white man, J. F. Williams is in front row to the left of Powder Face. 

A student newspaper reports the visit of a group of Cheyenne and Arapaho chiefs in December 1884 which included these people.
