Acting Superintendent Edgar A. Allen forwards Clerk Siceni J. Nori's application for a 25 and a half-day annual leave of absence.  

Edgar A. Allen forwards a list of students who have runaway from the Carlisle Indian School to the Office of Indian Affairs as well as superintendents of non-reservation schools.

Richard Henry Pratt forwards a letter from former student Paul Hayne regarding complaints made by Hayne against the Superintendent of the Poplar River Boarding School. Pratt includes comments related to Hayne's time at Carlisle.

Edgar A. Allen requests that two additional assistant clerks be authorized due to an increase in enrollment at the Carlisle Indian School. Allen requests that the positions be filled by two girls who have completed the school course.

Edgar A. Allen puts forth the names of Ella Sturm and Nellie Orme for a position of housekeeper at the Moqui School in Oraibi, Arizona.

Acting Carlisle Indian School Superintendent Edgar Allen informs the Commissioner of Indian Affairs that four bills of lading were issued for shipments from the school to Minnesota, New York City, and Chicago during the current fiscal year.

Acting Superintendent Edgar A. Allen forwards Assistant Clerk D. E. Miller's application for a 30-day annual leave of absence.

Edgar A. Allen forwards a list of New York students at the Carlisle Indian School who are eligible to receive money appropriated by Congress for New York Indians.

Acting Superintendent Edgar A. Allen forwards Fireman Joseph N. Jordan's request for a 15-day annual leave of absence.

Richard Henry Pratt responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding the annuity money due to Elizabeth Aiken and Eugene Perrier. Pratt indicates his support for allowing Aiken and Perrier to have their money at Carlisle.

Lt. Colonel Richard H. Pratt submits a report that lists new employees (George L. Gottwerth), those who have left the school (D. E. Miller), and those who have changed positions (Anna F. Bennett). The report includes position title, salary, date of departure, and reason for departure. Miller's letter of resignation is attached.

Richard Henry Pratt forwards a letter from John Allen requesting assistance in obtaining a promotion from his current position as assistant disciplinarian at Chemawa. Pratt provides information on Allen's time at Carlisle.

Richard Henry Pratt informs the Office of Indian Affairs that he has spoken with Daisy Laird about taking a reexamination to cover her transfer from a Kindergarten Teacher to Teacher. He further requests the instructions and papers to conduct the examination.

Richard Henry Pratt requests that the position held by Anna F. Bennett be changed from Assistant Cook to Housekeeper. Pratt provides the justification for the request due to the increase in duties in cooking for students working on the farm.

Richard Henry Pratt informs the Office of Indian Affairs that D. E. Miller has tendered his resignation from his position as an assistant clerk and short-hand typewriter. Pratt requests a civil service assignment be made but notes that he could secure someone from the local business college easily.

Richard Henry Pratt forwards voucher for expenses related to school physician Dr. S. L. Diven in transporting students to the Medico-Chirurgical Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition, Pratt forwards a voucher for reimbursement used to pay the board of Maggie Escacerga.

Richard Henry Pratt responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding his opinion of Augusta Nash.

Richard Henry Pratt requests that the Office of Indian Affairs obtain information related to R. A. Cochran's, Superintendent of the Rice Station Indian School, order of a wagon.
