Roy Kickapoo (Ki-asque) Student File

Student file of Roy Kickapoo, a member of the Kickapoo Nation, who entered the school on September 14, 1900 and departed on June 27, 1905. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that Kickapoo was living in Shawnee, Oklahoma at some point after leaving Carlisle.

Eugene Fisher Student File

Student file of Eugene Fisher, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 23, 1898, and ultimately departed on January 12, 1904.  The file contains student information cards, a position card, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving that indicates that from 1910 to 1912 he was working in Tongue River, Montana, working as a line rider and guard in the forest service.

In school documentation Eugene Fisher is also known as E. J. Fisher.

 

James Down Student File

Student file of James Down, a member of the Kickapoo Nation, who entered the school on November 23, 1898, and departed on June 22, 1904.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, advertisements from Down's tailoring and hatting business, newspaper clipping, a photograph, a report after leaving, and correspondence indicating that Down was a tailor and owned a small business, "The People's Cleaning and Dye Works", in Cushing, Oklahoma in 1913. After leaving Carlisle, Down also attended Shawnee Business College.

Frank Engler Student File

Student file of Frank Engler, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 6, 1880 and ultimately departed on October 14, 1885. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards.

In school documentation Frank Engler is also known as Frank and Frank H. Engler.

 

Charles Dubray Student File

Student file of Charles Dubray, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 15, 1889, and departed on June 19, 1894.  The file contains a student information card, correspondence, a picture postcard, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving that indicates Dubray was a farmer in Cantonment, Oklahoma, in 1910.

In school documentation Charles Dubray's name is also spelled Charles DuBray, Charles De Bray, Charles Debray, Charles Debrae, Charles DeBray, and Charles DeBrae.

 

Richard Davis Student File

Student file of Richard Davis, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1879, and ultimately departed on June 30, 1891. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a photograph, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Davis was working as an interpreter and farmer in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1910 and was living in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1911.

Henry Bently (Wa-ka-nas-cook) Student File

Student file of Henry Bently, a member of the Kickapoo Nation, who entered the school on November 23, 1898, and departed on June 26, 1903.  The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that Bently was working as a farmer in McLoud, Oklahoma in 1911.

In school documentation Henry Bently's name is also spelled Henry Bentley. He is also known as Henry J. Bently and Wa-ka-nas-cook.

 

Harry Cole (Kysyplia) Student File

Student file of Harry Cole, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on December 8, 1899, and departed on March 4, 1902. The file contains a student information card, newspaper clippings, correspondence, and a report after leaving that indicates that, in 1910, he was working as a Vaudeville actor in North Long Branch, New Jersey, in 1910.  

In school documentation Harry Cole is also known as Harry K. Cole, Henry Cole, and Kysyplia.

 

William Cohoe Student File

Student file of William Cohoe, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879 and departed on March 2,1880 . The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and report after leaving indicating that Cohoe was a farmer living in Bickford, Oklahoma with his wife and children in 1910.
