Richard Davis Student File

Student file of Richard Davis, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 27, 1879, and ultimately departed on June 30, 1891. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a photograph, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Davis was working as an interpreter and farmer in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1910 and was living in Kingfisher, Oklahoma in 1911.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Robert Davis. Those documents have now been included with the Robert Davis file: NARA_RG75_1327_box 73_ folder 3592.

Note: Davis married fellow student Nellie Aspenall in 1888, while they were both still students.
