Joseph Hummingbird (Anm-ke-ah) Student File

Seward, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 21, 1886, and departed on February 12, 1890.  The file contains a student information card, a photograph, a news clipping, a report after leaving, and returned student surveys that indicate Seward was working as a farmer in Fay, Oklahoma in 1911.

Patrick Miller Student File

Student file of Patrick Miller, a member of the Caddo Nation, who entered the school on October 4, 1909 and ultimately departed on January 16, 1913. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, a medical/physical record, correspondence, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, an outing record, a financial transaction, trade/position record cards, and a progress/conduct card. The file indicates Miller was living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after departing from Carlisle.

John Seminole Student File

Student file of John Seminole, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on February 21, 1898, and departed on June 26, 1903.  The file contains a student information card, returned student surveys, former student response postcards, and a report after leaving indicating that, from 1910 to 1913, Seminole was working as a laborer in Lame Deer, Montana.

Student file of Fred Roundstone, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1896, and ultimately departed on February 26, 1908. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, former student response postcards, a returned student survey, an application for enrollment, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Roundstone attended the Fort Shaw Indian School, was farming in Busby, Montana in 1910, ranching in Busby, Montana in 1913, and farming in Busby, Montana in 1914.

George Whitefox (Otter goes a long way) Student File

Student file of George Whitefox, a member of the Crow Nation, who entered the school on August 22, 1906 and ultimately departed on December 31, 1912. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, an outing record, medical/physical records, correspondence, trade/position record cards, a returned student survey, applications for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, and financial transactions. The records indicate that Whitefox left Carlisle to enlist in the Navy.

Henry Roman Nose Student File

Student file of Henry Roman Nose, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879 and departed on September 18, 1883. The file contains newspaper clippings, a letter, former student response postcards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates that Roman Nose was farming in Bickford, Oklahoma from 1910 to 1914 and that Roman Nose went on to become Chief of the Cheyennes. The file also indicates that Roman Nose was that Roman Nose was a member of the Fort Marion prisoners group in St.

Sumner Riggs (Red Hat) Student File

Student file of Sumner Riggs, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 6, 1880, and departed on December 4, 1884.  The file contains a student information card, correspondence, former student response postcards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that he was working as a merchant and farmer in Fay, Oklahoma, from 1910 to 1913.

In school documentation Sumner Riggs' name is also spelled Summer Riggs. He is also known as Red Hat and Sumner Stacy Riggs (also spelled S. Stacy Riggs, S. S. Riggs, and Sumner Stacey Riggs).
