Lawrence Isham Student File

Student file of Lawrence Isham, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on October 22, 1912, and departed on May 20, 1913.  The file contains a student information card, an application for enrollment, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that Isham was the disciplinarian at the Fort Sill Indian School in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1913.

In school documentation Lawrence Isham's name is also spelled Laurence Isham.

Student file of Horace Nelson, a member of the Paiute Nation, who entered the school on June 30, 1903 and departed on June 24, 1908. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving that indicates that Nelson was living at 672 E 4th St. in Salt Lake City, Utah and working as a laborer in 1910.

 

Joseph Nelson Student File

Student file of Joseph Nelson, a member of the Paiute Nation, who entered the school on June 30, 1903, and departed on June 24, 1908. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, and a report after leaving that indicates Nelson was living in Soda Springs, Idaho in 1912.

 

Thomas Spotted Crow Student File

Student file of Thomas Spotted Crow, a member of the Cheyenne Nation, who entered the school on September 7, 1895, and departed on June 27, 1900.  The file contains a student information card, returned student surveys, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that he was working in Darlington, Oklahoma, in 1910.  The record also states that he was travelling with the 101 Ranch Wild West Show in 1910.

 

Oliver John Student File

Student file of Oliver John, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on December 28, 1907, and ultimately departed on November 19, 1913. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence, medical/physical records, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, an application for enrollment, an outing evaluation, an outing record, and a returned student survey. The records indicate that John came to Carlisle from Versailles, New York.

 

Brig George (Tegaip) Student File

Student file of Brig George, a member of the Paiute Nation, who entered the school on September 2, 1901 and departed on June 28, 1906. The file contains a former student response postcard, a student information card, and a report after leaving that indicates George was working as a laborer in Santa Clara, Utah in 1913.

In school documentation Brig George is also known as Brigam Goerge and Tegaip.
