The files indicate that Newton was married and was a farmer in Randolph, New York in 1913.

Bemus Pierce Student File

Student file of Bemus Pierce, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on November 3, 1890, and departed on August 15, 1895. The file contains a student information card, trade/position record card, correspondence in which Pierce argues against "the movement... to exclude the New York Indians from the Carlisle Indian School," news clippings, and a report after leaving that indicates Pierce was a farmer in Irving, New York in 1910. This student file also includes a letter from Richard Henry Pratt to Superintendent Oscar H. Lipps in which Pratt recommended that Pierce be "Mr.

Patrick Azure Student File

Student file of Patrick Azure, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on November 10, 1910 and ultimately departed on August 24, 1914. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, correspondence related to Azure working for the Ford Motor Company, an outing evaluation, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, trade/position record cards, a progress/conduct card, a returned student survey, and outing records.

Leslie Nephew Student File

Student file of Leslie Nephew, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on October 19, 1902, and departed on July 2, 1907. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, former student response postcards, a trade/position record card, and a report after leaving that indicates Nephew was a farmer in Versailles, New York in 1915.
