This folder contains documents about Emma H. Foster's time working for the Indian Service. She worked as a teacher at Carlisle from 1902 until the school closed in 1918.
Most of this folder contains employee assessments: efficiency reports or reports "on supervision of individual instructors" which discuss Foster's teaching methods. Other documents include notices of salary increases and general biographical paperwork.
The remainder of the folder focuses on Foster's transfer to be a clerk in the Office of Chief of Staff of the War Department in fall of 1918.
Note: while no documents in this folder relate to her previous time in the Indian Service, Foster's record indicates that she worked as a teacher at Lower Brule, the Osage Agency, Haskell Institute, and Klamath School prior to her transfer to Carlisle.
