J. L. Thomas writes to Hiram Price, Commissioner of Indian Affairs, regarding a request from the Onondaga Nation to have their children returned from the Carlisle Indian School. Thomas references the Onondaga Chief Daniel La Fort's visit to Washington where he secured a promise to have the children returned home but has had no word since.

J. L. Thomas seeks to have his son enrolled at the Carlisle Indian School. Richard Henry Pratt forwarded his letter to the Office of Indian Affairs noting that Thomas will pay his transportation to the school and that with Office approval he would be willing to enroll him.
