Captain Richard H. Pratt submits a report that lists irregular employees who worked at the school during March 1898. The report includes details on compensation, position titles, race, and the number of days worked during that month.

Estimate of supplies for the fourth quarter of 1898 amounting to $478.09 for support of the school. Richard H. Pratt also requests additional funds amounting to $10,745.00 for regular employee pay. However, the amount requested for regular employee pay on the estimate of funds form is $10,172.29

Richard H. Pratt recommends that former student Lizzie Hill be appointed as an assistant matron in the Indian Service.  Pratt and Assistant Superintendent A. J. Standing forwards Hill's application along with references from chief matron L. R. Shaffner, Hill's outing host, Elizabeth D. Edge, and Pratt himself.

Captain Richard H. Pratt requests a six-month supply of application of an Indian for appointment in Indian Service forms used by the United States Indian Affairs division of the Department of the Interior.

Richard H. Pratt recommends that former student Cynthia Webster be appointed as an assistant teacher in the Indian Service.  Pratt forwards Webster's application along with a reference from L. R. Shaffner.

Richard Henry Pratt forwards dairyman William Gray's request for an indefinite leave of absence to head to Mt. Gretna Park, PA to "drill for the Cuban War." Gray is a member of the National Guard.   

Richard Henry Pratt informs the Office of Indian Affairs that William Gray, Dairyman, has been called up to join his National Guard company for duty. As a result Pratt requests to pay three Indian students to fill his position until his return.

Richard H. Pratt recommends that former student Frank Shively be appointed as a clerk or stenographer in the Indian Service.  Pratt forwards Shively's application along with references from I. F. Mountz, and L. B. Given. Pratt also includes copies of Shively's Carlisle Indian School and Carlisle Commercial College degrees.
