Standing Responds Hill Children Should Remain at School

Alfred John Standing responds to the Office of Indian School regarding a letter from Cornelius Hill. Standing indicates the three students mentioned were transferred from the Martinsburg Indian School. Two of the students are on the outing program and the oldest is in the fourth grade. In addition, their oldest brother at the Hampton Institute has expressed his desire to remain at school as long as possible.
