Student file of Ernest Quick Bear, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on August 31, 1906, and departed on May 18, 1909. The file contains a student information card, correspondence, an application for enrollment, trade/position record cards, a returned student survey, a physical record, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, and former student response postcards that indicate Quick Bear was working as the disciplinarian at the Rosebud Boarding School in Mission, South Dakota in 1914.
In school documentation Ernest Quick Bear's name is also spelled Ernest Quickbear and Ernest Q. Bear.
Note: Ernest appears to the son of former student Reuben Quick Bear who was among the first students to arrive at Carlisle.
