Clay Domieah (Dom-ie-ah) Student File

Student file of Clay Domieah, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on April 30, 1887 and departed on July 12, 1897. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that Domeah was working as a farmer in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in 1912.

In school documentation Clay Domieah's name is also spelled Clay Domiet, Clay Domeah, Clay Domieh, and Clay Domiah. He is also known as Dom-ie-ah.

 

Charles Dickens Student File

Student file of Charles Dickens, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on August 7, 1891, and departed on July 3, 1896.  The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, correspondence, a former student response postcard, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1913, Dickens was working as an Indian Agency police officer in San Carlos, Arizona.

 

Asa Daklugie (Da-klu-gie) Student File

Student file of Asa Daklugie, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on December 8, 1886, and departed on November 7, 1895.  The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, correspondence, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1913, Daklugie was working as a laborer in Mescalero, New Mexico.

In school documentation Asa Daklugie's name is also spelled Asa Deklugie and Asa Dakelugie. He is also known as Da-klu-gie.

Note: Daklugie married former student Ramona Chihuahua. 

Eben Beads (Beads) Student File

Student file of Eben Beads, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on February 2, 1884 and departed on March 19, 1891. The file contains a student information card, returned student surveys, former student response postcards, correspondence, a news clipping, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Eben was farming in San Carlos, Arizona with his wife in 1913.

In school documentation Eben Beads is also known as Beads.

 

Don Cooley Student File

Student file of Don Cooley, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on October 23, 1906, and departed on March 15, 1908. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, a returned student survey, correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that Cooley was working as a stockraiser in Pinetop, Arizona, in 1911.

In school documentation Don Cooley is also known as Don C. Cooley.

 

Hugh Chee (Chee) Student File

Student file of Hugh Chee, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on November 4, 1886, and departed on August 5, 1896.  The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating that Chee was farming in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, in 1910.

In school documentation Hugh Chee is also known as Chee.

Note: When Chee's card was retyped it appears the name was erroneously interpreted as Hugh Chu (Chu), but there is no indication that he ever intentionally used that name. 

 

Norman Casadore Student File

Student file of Norman Casadore, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on February 2, 1884 and ultimately departed on June 31, 1896. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, former student response postcards, a newspaper clipping, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving. The file indicates Casadore was living in Chicago, Illinois in 1910, as a farmer and herder in San Carlos, Arizona in 1911, 1912, and 1913, and was working as a farmer doing general work in 1914.

Michael Burns Student File

Student file of Michael Burns, a member of the Yavapai Nation, who entered the school on October 26, 1880, and departed on October 6, 1884.  The file contains a student information card, a former student response postcard, a position card, a returned student survey, correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that Burns was working as a farmer in McDowell, Arizona, from 1914 to 1915. The records also indicate that, in 1910, Burns was a student in the Riverside School of Riverside, California.

Regis Alchintoyah (Al-chin-toyah) Student File

Student file of Regis Alchintoyah, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on April 30, 1887, and departed on November 7, 1895.  The file contains student information cards, a returned student survey, and a report after leaving indicating that, in 1911, Alchintoyah was working as a laborer in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

In school documentation Regis Alchintoyah's name is also spelled Regis Alchintoya and Regis Alcintoyah. He is also known as Al-chin-toyah.
