The file contains an application for enrollment, a student information card, medical/physical records, outing evaluations, an outing record, financial transactions, and letters/correspondence that indicate that Herne was working as a farmer in Hogansburg, New York in 1915.

In school documentation Jacob Herne's name is also spelled Jacob Hern. He is also known as Jake Herring.
