National Archives, from collections of Carlisle Indian School materials housed at various archival repositories, and from a variety of published sources. Six Alaskan students posed on the deck of a ship, presumably taken on their journey to Carlisle. They are (from left to right) Annie Coodlalook, Cooki Glook, Anna Buck, Esenetuck, Tomiclock, and Laublock. All are wearing cloaks with fur-lined hoods.
Although this negative was included among photographer J.N. Choate's images, he could not have been present aboard the ship that brought these students from Alaska. The original photographer is unknown.
