Previous cataloging assigns this image a date of 1898, presumably from a caption scratched on the plate.

Candid photograph of four young women and one man. It is believed that these are four Alaskan students. Based on other photographs of, it is possible that the young women are (left to right) Tomiclock, Cooki Glook, Annie Coodlalook, and Anna Buck.

Repository: Dickinson College Archives & Special Collections

Four male students in room-like spaces, standing and plastering on wall areas.

Note: This negative is in the Cumberland County Historical Society's A. A. Line Collection, which contains images either taken or collected by Line. At some point, either during Line's lifetime or later, images from other photographers, including apparently Everett Strong, were integrated into the Line Collection without appropriate attribution. This image is similar to those attributed to Strong. Therefore at this time we cannot be sure which photographer was responsible for the image.

Studio portrait of Lucinda Hill and Abram Hill.

Note: Abram Hill attended the school between 1887 and 1897. He was 14 when he arrived, therefore it seems more likely that the Lucinda Hill in this photo is the student who arrived in 1885 and departed in 1888. (There were two students named Lucinida Hill who attended the school.)
