1900
Dennison Wheelock's symphony in three parts, titled "Suite Aboriginal," premiered at Carnegie Hall in March 1900 during a tour of the Carlisle Indian School band. The music was published by Harry Coleman in Philadelphia, PA. The musical parts here are for bass, cello, clarinet 1, cornet 1, cornet 2, drums, flute, piano, trombone, viola, violin 1, and violin 2. Entrance cues in these parts suggest that there are additional parts for bassoon, clarinet 2, oboe, and at least 2 horns.
This copy of the music was courteously provided by the Fennell Music Library at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Interlochen, Michigan.
