Grover Martell Student File

Student file of Grover Martell, a member of the Pottawatomi Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1911 and ultimately departed on July 2, 1917. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, trade and position record cards, and outing records. This file also contains correspondence relative to his enrollment at the school, his training as a mason, work at the Ford Motor Company, and financial and medical matters.

Note: In this file the student's name appears as both Grover Martelle and Grover Martel.

Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, several documents in this student file seem to relate to different students, Charles Baird and David Bird. Those documents have now been included with the Charles Baird file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 22_folder 3753 and the David Bird file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 114_folder 4705.

Note: Although this file shows an arrival date of September 10, the admissions ledger and his information card suggest that he actually arrived on September 9.
