Gertrude Sutton Student File

Student file of Gertrude Sutton, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on October 15, 1907 and ultimately departed on June 21, 1915. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, a returned student survey, and correspondence. The file indicates Sutton attended the Tunesassa Boarding School after leaving Carlisle for the first time, was living in Conesus, New York in 1915, and was working as housewife in Baltimore, Maryland in 1917.

In school documentation Gertrude Sutton is also known as Gertrude Lena Sutton. Her married name is Gertrude Snyder or Gertrude Sutton Snyder.
