The file contains a former student response post card, a trade/position record card, returned student surveys, correspondence, a newspaper clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that after his time in Carlisle, Powless served in the Army during the Spanish-American war, married Lydia Wheelock, farmed in West DePere, Wisconsin and served as the Town Clerk of Oneida in 1917.
In school documentation Emanuel Powless' name is also spelled Emanuel Powlas, Emanuel Powlass, and Manuel Powlas.
Note: A family member has indicated that the correct spelling of this student's surname is Powless.
