Student file of Michael Burns, a member of the Yavapai Nation, who entered the school on October 26, 1880, and departed on October 6, 1884. The file contains student information cards, a former student response postcard, a position card, a returned student survey, correspondence, a news clipping, and a report after leaving indicating that Burns was working as a farmer in McDowell, Arizona, from 1914 to 1915. The records also indicate that, in 1910, Burns was a student in the Riverside School of Riverside, California.
In school documentation Michael Burns is also known as Mike Burns.
Note: Although this documentation lists Michael Burns as Apache, other sources (including his own memoir) indicate that he is actually Yavapai.
