Grace Maybee Student File

Student file of Grace Maybee, a member of the Seneca Nation, who entered the school on September 25, 1907, graduated in 1918, and departed for an outing on June 8, 1918. The file does not make clear what she may have done when the school closed officially on September 1, 1918, whether she remained with her outing patron, returned to her family, or transferred to another school for continued education. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, correspondence, outing evaluations, a returned student survey, a conduct card, a newspaper clipping, outing records, a certificate of transfer, a vocational guidance record, a federal financial aid form, and Maybee's biographical essay from her senior year. The files indicate that Maybee studied nursing at Carlisle, and after leaving, entered the Training School at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

In school documentation Grace Maybee's name is also spelled Grace Maybe. She is also known as Grace E. Maybee and Grace Eunice Maybee.
