Student file of George Grinnell, a member of the Hidatsa Nation, who entered the school on November 11, 1906 and departed on August 18, 1909. The file contains a student information card, applications for enrollment, medical/physical records, a returned student survey, former student response postcards, a trade/position record card, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a report after leaving indicating that Grinnell was working as a blacksmith and stockraiser in Elbowoods, North Dakota in 1915.
In school documentation George Grinnell is also known as Running Elk and George W. Grinnell.
Note: Although this file shows Gros Ventre, a member of the Fort Berthold community has indicated that this individual is actually Hidatsa.
