Nellie Brown Student File

Student file of Nellie Brown, a member of the Creek Nation, who entered the school on September 3, 1913 and ultimately departed on June 6, 1916. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains a medical/physical record, student information cards, an application for enrollment, financial transactions, a news clipping, an outing evaluation, an outing record, vacation request forms, and correspondence. The file indicates Brown attended Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri and was married and living in Sapulpa, Oklahoma in 1917.

In school documentation Nellie Brown is also known as Nellie B. Brown and Nellie Beatrice Brown. Her married name is Nellie Lytle (Mrs. Ivan Lytle).
