The file indicates that La Chapelle went on outing at the Ford Motor Company, and later joined the Marines. He was stationed at Paris Island in 1918.
In school documentation Max La Chapelle's name is also spelled Max LaChapelle. He is also known as Max V. LaChapelle, also spelled M. V. LaCahopelle.
