Student file of Judson Bertrand, a member of the Pottawatomi Nation, who entered the school on August 21, 1903 and ultimately departed on August 29, 1910. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains an application for enrollment, student information cards, a progress/conduct card, a medical/physical record, correspondence, a former student response postcard, a returned student survey, news clippings, an outing record, and a report after leaving.
The file indicates that Bertrand was living in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania while working in mechanical dentistry at A. H. Knauff Dental Depot and Laboratory in 1911, was the manager and partner of the dental firm Hood and Bertrand in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1914, and was a member of the American Expeditionary Forces in World War I in 1918.
In school documentation Judson Bertrand's name is also spelled Judsen Bertrand and Judson Bertram. He is also known as Judson T. Bertrand, Judsen T. Bertrand, and J. T. Bertrand.
Note: Students Judson Bertrand and Laura Bertrand were siblings.
