Janette Woods (Pah-go-stat-un) Student File

Student file of Janette Woods, a member of the Apache Nation, who entered the school on November 4, 1886 and departed on November 4, 1895. The file contains a student information card, a returned student survey, and report after leaving indicating that Woods married James Russell and was a housewife in Fort Sill, Oklahoma in 1910.

In school documentation Janette Woods' name is also spelled Jeanette Woods. She is also known as Janette Pahgostatum, Janette Pahgastatum, Janette Pahgostatum Woods, Pah-go-stat-un, Pahgostatum and Pah go stat un. Her married name is Janette Russell (Mrs. James Russell). A researcher has also identified them as Jeanette Pagostetahn.
