Crane cites her "approaching marriage" as the reason for leaving the school.
Howard E. Gansworth submits his resignation as the Boys' Field Agent at the Carlisle Indian School. William A. Mercer forwards the resignation along with his plan to have John F. Mackey and his wife come to Carlisle as replacements for Gansworth and Frances A. Veitch.
Jesse Null resigns his position as dairyman at the Carlisle Indian School. J. R. Wise forwards the resignation and indicates that the employment of Norman Egolf is again presented to the Indian Office due to his many qualifications.
Charles M. Sorrell submits his resignation as assistant cook at the Carlisle Indian School. William A. Mercer forwards the resignation to the Office of Indian Affairs and informs the Office that he plans on nominating Nikefer Shoushick (here spelled Nekifer Shouchuk).
Stacy Matlock submits his resignation as an assistant disciplinarian at the Carlisle Indian School. William A. Mercer forwards the resignation and notes that he has separately employed Wallace Denny has his successor.
William A. Mercer responds to an Office of Indian Affairs letter regarding the request of Elizabeth Sloan to be reinstated to the Indian Service. Mercer notes that he has forwarded the Office the resignation of Mary D. Maddren as assistant matron and written Sloan regarding filling the position but has not heard back.
William A. Mercer informs the Office of Indian Affairs that he would not prefer to have Mary R. Miller appointed as an assistant laundress at the Carlisle Indian School. C. F. Larrabee responds that Mercer's statements will be followed.
