These images all reflect the Carlisle Indian School students, facilities, and staff. Images available here are drawn from files housed at the U. S. National Archives, from collections of Carlisle Indian School materials housed at various archival repositories, and from a variety of published sources. The postcard was sent to Geraldine Hammond on February 3, 1909. Alonzo, the sender, wrote "Hello Gerry I suppose you are looking for an answer. I send this postal because I am pushed for time I will write soon From Alonzo"

This postcard's caption reads Nancy Hasholy, Tribe Sioux, Carlisle, Pa. She may be dressed in her costume for the school production of "The Captain of Plymouth" in March 1909.

This postcard was reportedly given by Richard Henry Pratt to Edna Emerick (librarian) in Rochester, NY who had arranged his visit on Thursday, Oct. 14, 1909 to speak about Carlisle. This and several other postcards had passed to a nephew.
