Response by Edgar A. Allen to claims by an anonymous individual alleging that John Miller (also addressed as William Miller) used fraud to enroll at the Carlisle Indian School. Also included are legal affidavits by Miller and John Pulcifer claiming their innocence.

Benjamin Mahseel, member of the Apache Nation, visited the school on June 30, 1898 and departed on August 2, 1898. Sources indicate that he was an employee at the San Carlos Agency, and that he and former Carlisle teacher Lydia Hunt accompanied a party of Apache students who were coming to enroll at Carlisle.
