The Images section features photographs, postcards, and different types of artwork, as well as reproductions of images that appeared in newspapers, magazines, and other publications. These images all reflect the Carlisle Indian School students, facilities, and staff. Images available here are drawn from files housed at the U. S. National Archives, from collections of Carlisle Indian School materials housed at various archival repositories, and from a variety of published sources. The postcard was sent to Geraldine Hammond on February 3, 1909. Alonzo, the sender, wrote "Hello Gerry I suppose you are looking for an answer. I send this postal because I am pushed for time I will write soon From Alonzo"

The program for the play lists nine students as members of the Citizens' Chorus: John Runsclose, Joseph Tarbell, Frank Marques, William Corbett, Howard Pierce, Joseph Forte, Levi Williams, Philip Cornelius, and David White.

Note: There were two students named James Mumblehead attending the school in 1909: James W. Mumblehead and James B. Mumblehead. It is unclear which student took part in this production. Likewise, there were two Mary Cook's in attendance at the school in 1909.

Ten male students and five female students, in costumes, standing and seated with one white male teacher. 

This image is from the series taken of the cast members of the school's production of  the play, "The Captain of Plymouth," produced at the school from March 29-March 31, 1909. The white man is presumably Claude Stauffer, the school's Director of Music. These students are probably among those listed as playing the "Principal Characters" in the play, who were: Montreville Yuda, Albert Scott, John White, Lewis Runnels, Harry Wheeler, Dewitt Wheeler, Edward Wolfe, James Mumblehead, Lewis White, Michael Chabitnoy, Carlysle Greenbrier, Emma Esanetuck, and Ernestine Venne. 

The Cumberland County Historical Society has several copies of this image, including one from the scrapbook of student Montreville Yuda, who played Miles Standish.

Note: There were two students named James Mumblehead attending the school in 1909: James W. Mumblehead and James B. Mumblehead. It is unclear which student took part in this production.

The program lists a total of twenty-three female students playing Puritan roles, including the Puritan Maidens, the Sextette of Plymouth Daisies, and two Principal Characters. Therefore, these students probably are: Edith Ranco, Thirza Bernel, Josphine Nash, Julia Jackson, Josephine Smith, Rosa La Rose, Elizabeth Penny, Christiana Garbriel, Mary Cooke (either Mary Cook who entered the school in 1901 or Mary Belle Cooke who entered in 1906, Clara Trepania, Nona Crowe, Bertha Hawk, Adaline Greenbrier, Agnes Waite, Ramona Waggoner, Texie Tubbs, Dolly Stone, Laura Tubbs, Fleta Renville, Daphne Waggoner, Minnie White, Carlysle Greenbrier, and Ernestine Venne.

The ten listed are: Charles Huber, Clarence Woodbury, Michael Balenti, James Winde (also known as James Hears the Wind), Raymond Hitchcock, Reuben Charles, Oscar Boyd, Ambrose Miguel, Isaac Quinn, and Fritz Hendricks.

The message reads: "Dear cousin, will let you know we are all well, hope you are all the same, we was s o glad that Mehargue sent his picture to Mom, we wish you wold [sic] all get your pictures taken & send them to us, that is a fine foto, the Carlisle Fair is next week, Mom & I wanted to go but I guess we can't and miss go to Harrisburg, answer soon, as ever your cousin Marie Keite"
