These materials include correspondence regarding the health of Clara Shunion. Shunion stayed in Pennsylvania on outing following the close of the Carlisle School, and developed tuberculous. After residing for some time in the Bryn Mawr Hospital, the Osteopathic Hospital of Philadelphia, and the home of former outing patron Elizabeth D. Edge, Shunion was sent to the Sac & Fox Sanitarium in Toledo, Iowa.
