John T. Doyle, the Secretary of the Civil Service Commission, forwards to the Secretary of the Interior a list of two women (Lillian M. Warner, Julia F. Fish) who are eligible to fill the vacant teacher position at the Carlisle Indian School. The list includes the candidates' names, addresses, and their civil service exam grades. Acting Secretary George Haudler refers the list to the Commissioner of Indian Affairs.
A note from a later date indicates that the Commissioner of Indian Affairs appointed Warner a teacher at Fort Hall, Idaho and Fish a teacher at the Pawnee school in Oklahoma.
