Notebooks

A list of students compiled by Reverend George Diffenderfer while out west recruiting new students. Includes names, sex, supposed dates attended school, and occasionally comments regarding the student. The notebook also names and ages of prospective students.

Work diary of Milton I. Zeigler, harness maker and instructor, at the Carlisle Indian School. Zeigler notes that he took over the harness shop on August 9, 1900 and details daily information related to the shop.

Small notebook entitled "American Authors" but used as an address book of the homes of former Carlisle Indian School students.

This notebook is part of a collection donated to the Cumberland County Historical Society by a descendent of teacher Lelah M. Burns, so presumably this list of addresses was created by her.
