William Yankeejoe Student File

Student file of William Yankeejoe, a member of the Chippewa Nation, who entered the school on September 1, 1905 and departed on February 8, 1910. The file contains news clippings, a returned student survey, former student response postcards, an application for enrollment, a medical/physical record, a student information card, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, a report after leaving, and correspondence. The file indicates Yankeejoe was a nigh watchman at the Hayward Indian School in Hayward, Wisconsin in 1910 and 1911, was living in Odanah, Wisconsin in 1911, and was working as a laborer in Winter, Wisconsin in 1912 and 1914.

In school documentation William Yankeejoe's name is also spelled William Yankee Joe.
