Student file of Sarah Mather, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 6, 1879 and departed on June 23, 1880. The file contains a student information card and a report after leaving indicating she was a housewife in Rosebud, South Dakota in 1910.
In school documentation Sarah Mather's name is also spelled Sara Mather. She is also known as Red Road and Cha-ku-lu-tah. Her married name is Sara Tackett (Mrs. Charles Tackett).
Note: Mather appears to have taken or been given the name of school employee Sarah Mather. She married interpreter Charles Tackett and so is also known as Sarah Tackett.
