Ruth Janis Student File

Student file of Ruth Janis, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 26, 1913 and ultimately departed on July 18, 1918. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains student information cards, medical/physical records, progress/conducts cards, financial transactions, vacation request forms, applications for enrollment, certificates of promotion, and correspondence indicating that she returned to her home in South Dakota following her departure from the school in 1918.

In school documentation Ruth Janis' name is also spelled Ruth Jannis.
