Olive Standing Bear Student Information Cards

Student information cards of Olive Standing Bear, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on September 12, 1913 and departed on August 28, 1918. The file indicates Standing Bear transferred to the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas upon the closure of the Carlisle Indian School.

In school documentation Olive Standing Bear's name is also spelled Olive Standingbear and Olive Standing-bear. She is also known as Ollie Standing Bear and Oliver Standing Bear. In one case she is referred to as Ora Standingbear (also spelled Ora Standing Bear), but her sister Nettie says that Olive did not go by that name.
