Nancy Whitewash Student File

Student file of Nancy Whitewash, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 10, 1914 and departed on July 9, 1917. The file contains student information cards, an outing record, financial transactions, a federal financial aid form, correspondence, and a certificate of promotion. The file indicates that Whitewash was working as a Assistant Seamstress and Matron at the Rosebud Boarding School in Mission, South Dakota in 1917.

In school documentation Nancy Whitewash's name is also spelled Nancy White Wash and Nancy W. W. She is also known as Millie White Wash, Millie Crazy Bull, and Millie Not Enough to Eat.
