Mattie Ten Eyck Student File

Student file of Mattie Ten Eyck, a member of the Karuk Nation, who entered the school on September 17, 1905 and departed on June 20, 1910. The file contains a returned student survey, former student response postcards, correspondence to and from the superintendent, medical/physical records, student information cards, an application for enrollment, a progress/conduct card, an outing record, and a report after leaving. The documents indicate that she was living in Hoopa Valley, California while working as a Boys' Matron in 1914.

In school documentation Mattie Ten Eyck's name is also spelled Mattie Teneyck.

Note: Although documentation in her file lists Mattie Ten Eyck as Klamath, a researcher has indicated that she is actually Karuk.
