Mabel Logan Student File

Student file of Mabel Logan, a member of the Cayuga Nation, who entered the school on September 9, 1905 and departed on June 20, 1910. The file contains a student information card, application for enrollment, correspondence, medical/physical records, news clippings, an outing record, a progress/conduct card, a report after leaving, and a trade/position record card. The file indicates Logan was a seamstress at a hospital in Versailles, New York in 1910, living in Farnham, New York in 1912, and working at Y. N. Adam Memorial Hospital in Perrysburg, New York in 1914. In 1918, she wrote from Irving, New York looking for work, specifically housework or sewing, that could support her and her baby.

In school documentation Mabel Logan is also known as Mable Mira Logan and Mabel M. Logan. Her married name is Mabel Doxtader or Mabel Logan Doxtader (Mrs. Theodore Doxtader), also spelled Mabel Doxtator (Mrs. Theodore Doxtator).
