Francis A. Pambrun Student File

Student file of Francis A. Pambrun, a member of the Piegan Nation, who entered the school on September 28, 1911, and departed on December 28, 1913. The file contains student information cards, an application for enrollment, medical/physical records, trade/position record cards, financial transactions, and correspondence related to Pambrun's outings as well as his injury while working at railroad yards in St. Louis. Pambrun attended the Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas after leaving Carlisle.

While Pambrun is listed as a member of the Shoshone Nation on his student information card, he lists Piegan on the application for enrollment in the file. Pambrun also noted in his application that his mother, Julia La Cush, was a member of the Shoshone Nation.

In school documentation Francis A. Pambrun's name is also spelled Francis A. Pambrum. He is also known as Francis Alexander Pambrun (also spelled Francis Alexander Pambrum) and Francis Pambrun (also spelled Francis Pambrum, Francis Pembrum, and Francis Pambram).
