Caleb Sickles Student File

Student file of Caleb Sickles, a member of the Oneida Nation, who entered the school on August 28, 1891, graduated in 1898, and ultimately departed on June 12, 1900. The student did not attend the school continuously, but left and reentered. The file contains photographs, student information cards, a report after leaving, former student response postcards, returned student surveys, and letters/correspondence. The file indicates Sickles played on the football team at the Carlisle Indian School, attended the Dickinson College Preparatory School (Conway Hall) from 1898 to 1899, played professional baseball, attended the Ohio Medical University from 1900 to 1904, and was a dentist in Tiffin, Ohio from 1907 to 1913.
