Student file of Besse C. Eastman, a member of the Sioux Nation, who entered the school on October 1, 1913 and departed on January 12, 1916. The file contains a student information card, a medical/physical record, an application for enrollment, an outing record, financial transactions, and correspondence. The file indicates that Eastman attended Camp Oahe or the Eastman Family Camp for Girls with Angel DeCora Dietz in Munsonville, New Hampshire, arrived in Winona, Minnesota in 1916 upon leaving school, and was living in Sisseton, South Dakota in 1917.
Note: At the time of scanning at the U.S. National Archives, a document in this student file seemed to relate to a different student, Cornelia Eastman. That document has now been included with the Cornelia Eastman file: NARA_RG 75_Series 1327_box 44_folder 2173.
